Elavon, a leading global payments provider and subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB), has announced that it will temporarily suspend its processing and acquiring service fees for customers impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

“Many of our merchant customers in Houston and surrounding areas are suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey,” said Guy Harris, president of North America and Global Revenue for Elavon. “By waiving our fees and helping them quickly replace damaged equipment, they can focus on rebuilding their businesses and their communities.”

In addition, Elavon is monitoring Hurricane Irma, and plans to do something similar for its impacted merchants.
